Recruitment and training agency set for considerable growth following Rosebud funding

HBM learning

Lytham-based specialist recruitment agency and training provider, HBM Learning, has secured a £15,000 loan from Lancashire County Council’s Rosebud Finance.

Founded in 2022 by husband and wife Frazer and Deborah McAlister, HBM Learning aims to attract, train and recruit candidates in the education and skills sector. They are an approved training centre under the awarding body TQUK and offer a suite of qualifications in Education and Training. One of the biggest in demand roles across education and skills is for tutors. They are addressing a candidate shortage by training industry professionals to become qualified tutors and placing them into new roles.

They work closely with training and apprenticeship providers to source and recruit talent for a variety of roles, particularly for those in demand roles.

The business accomplished strong initial success and now in it’s second year of trading will have a six-figure turnover and is working with some of the biggest training providers in the market to provide recruitment services. They have trained hundreds of tutors and have registered thousands of candidates looking for work in this sector. The company has recently appointed a new Managing Director Sarah Weightman to oversee the recruitment operations.

The funding from Rosebud Finance, will provide the business with the working capital required to run the business while the new director supports operational growth.

Using the Rosebud Finance support, Frazer and Deborah have recently formed a holding company, that will be used to acquire and invest in more training and recruitment businesses. They have just launched their first joint venture which is a new recruitment agency, and will come under this new holding company.

The business has strong ambitions for the future and is looking to continue increasing its headcount and expanding into different sectors wherever an opportunity has been identified.
