Rosebud loan helps Burnley refrigerated vehicle firm add 45 staff and support Covid vaccine distribution effort

A manufacturer and supplier of refrigerated vehicles has almost doubled its turnover and grown its team by around 45 staff with the support of Rosebud Finance.

Coolkit, based in Burnley, was founded in 2005 by Rupert Gatty. It manufactures and converts temperature-controlled vehicles for a range of clients in the food delivery and pharmaceutical industries.

The company secured a £300,000 loan from Rosebud which it used to provide working capital and recruit new staff after it won a major new pharmaceutical client in early 2020.


Despite having to navigate some extremely challenging waters during the pandemic, Lancashire based Panache Cruises is celebrating a move to new business premises, based in Strawberry Fields Digital Hub in Chorley. The new offices will accommodate Panache Cruises’ current team of 15 with room for further expansion.
